Kawasan Canyoneering
A heart-quickening descent through Kawasan's emerald pools — cliff jumps, natural slides, and shaded swims with certified guides.
A private, dawn-time encounter with the gentle giants of Oslob. We handle the early-morning logistics — you simply float, breathe, and watch.
Oslob's whale sharks are the world's gentlest marine giants — sometimes 10 metres long, but utterly unbothered by snorkelers floating quietly above. The sanctuary opens before dawn, which is why we leave Cebu City around 3:30 AM. The reward is glassy water, soft light, and a near-empty bay.
We keep it small: just your group, one boat, one guide. No rushed group tours. No selfie chaos. You'll spend a real, unhurried 30 minutes in the water — long enough to slow your breathing, watch a fin curve under you, and remember the shape of the morning.
The Oslob whale shark interaction is regulated by the local marine sanctuary — guests and guides keep a respectful distance, no touching, no flash photography. Conservation fees go directly to community-led monitoring. We follow every rule, and our guides will gently remind anyone who forgets.
Your driver and guide arrive at your hotel in Cebu City or Mactan in our private air-conditioned van. We bring water, light snacks, and a quiet morning playlist.
We pull into the marine sanctuary in Oslob just as the sun warms the bay. A short safety briefing, a fitting for your life vest and snorkel mask, and we're ready.
You'll spend roughly 30 minutes in the water with the whale sharks — gently drifting beside them as they feed. Your guide stays close, capturing photos with our underwater camera.
If your group has the energy, we drive 15 minutes inland to the elegant Tumalog Falls — a fine misted curtain in deep jungle. Otherwise, breakfast on the way back.
We stop at a quiet local-favourite spot for a Filipino breakfast — warm rice, fresh fruit, eggs, and unhurried coffee.
We deliver you back, salt-kissed and quietly happy, in time for an afternoon nap or a slow lunch.
Swimming ability: You don't need to be a strong swimmer — life vests are mandatory and our guide is in the water with you the whole time. Even non-swimmers regularly snorkel here comfortably.
Children: Welcome from age 4 with a parent. The activity is calm and well-supervised.
Best season: Year-round, but November to May offers the calmest seas and clearest water.
What to bring: Swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, biodegradable sunscreen (regular sunscreen isn't allowed in the sanctuary), and a sense of slow wonder.
